Why We Built This

We Were Remote Workers First

"After six months working from cafés across three countries, my neck was wrecked and my laptop was overheating. There had to be a better way."

RemoteMode started with a personal frustration. Our founder had been working fully remote for years — bouncing between cities, running a business from airport lounges and borrowed desks. The freedom was real, but so was the physical toll: chronic neck pain from staring down at a laptop screen, slow typing on cramped keyboards, and gear that looked portable but couldn't survive daily use.

The products that existed were either designed for home office setups or for show. Nothing was built for someone who genuinely worked on the move — session after session, city after city. So we set out to find and build tools that actually fit that reality: compact, durable, ergonomic, and built for long sessions rather than just good product photos.

Every product we carry is something we'd use ourselves — and many of them are things we already do. That's the standard we hold every item to before it makes it into the store.
